• Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) – It is one of the most popular drugs and is effectively used in insomnia and restlessness and panic disorder. It can induce sleep in less than an hour. You can make herbal tea by taking about ten grams of its root powder and boiling for ten minutes in one pint of water. The tea should be taken 45 minutes before going to bed.
• Kava kava (Piper methysticum) – The roots of this herb act as a natural sedative .The powder of it’s root is mixed with water and taken before bed time
• Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) – The leaves of this herb have strong lemon flavor. The leaves are used to make an herbal sedative, combining different herbs like chamomile, valerine and hops. These reduce anxiety, nausea and headache. Only one cup of the lemon balm is enough to get the desired effect.
• Black Cohosh – It is a good nervine tonic. 20 drops of it’s extract should be mixed with any liquid and should be consumed as tea which is effective if taken thrice daily
• Aswagandha(Withania somnifera) - It is a popular and very effective herbal medicine, traditionally used in ayurveda(Indian medicine).

All of the above mentioned herbal remedies are good anti-anxiety drugs either used alone or in combination. However, physical exercise, meditation and rest are needed along with herbal remedies to have an effective cure against anxiety and panic disorder.
